Occupational Physicians and Physician Assistants Section leadership

Who Should Join?

Physicians and Physician Assistants whose practice involves occupational medicine are welcome. Physicians and other Mid Level Practitioners who have a common interest with the Section's functions and objectives are also welcome.

Overview 

This section is organized to insure that the common interests of the occupational physician supervisor and physician assistant are known and presented to the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine through the mechanisms that are made available through the ACOEM Constitution and Bylaws. 

This section will promote the professional and personal development of the occupational supervising physician and physician assistant. 

This section will promote ACOEM Fellow status for occupational supervising physicians and affiliate membership for occupational physician assistants. 

This section will make arrangements for AOHC speakers when possible and will promote attendance at ACOEM CME functions. 

This section will have an annual meeting at the American Occupational Health Conference. 

Highlighted Activities  

• Award the annual Affiliate Physician Assistant Section Scholarship.  
• Hold annual in-person section meeting at AOHC.
• Develop and distribute quarterly section newsletters.  
• Jack Lasoski, MPAS, PA-C, former section Secretary/Treasurer, participated in Reach MD Interview.
